2007 European Masters Weightlifting Championship
Limassol will be hosting the European Masters Weightlifting Championship for the first time. Dates are 19 - 26 May, 2007 with the opening ceremony being held on Friday, 18 May at 19:00 local time at the “Spyros Kyprianou” Sports Centre. Participating in the opening ceremony will be the Dance Group of the Limassol Folklore Association, as well as the Shakalli Dance School.
More information on the championship can be found on their website. The event is expected to draw more than 500 athletes and 1500 supporting staff, including personal coaches, physiotherapists and fans, to the island during the week (so you know where the traffic is coming from!)

I’m looking to include sporting facilities on my Cyrpus based information website. Is the Spyros Kyprianou Sports Centre one of the better ones on Cyprus?

I don’t know if it’s the better one or not, but it sure hosts its share of events. So I guess you should include it.
